Kamui Ski Links, located near Asahikawa City in Hokkaido, is a family-friendly ski resort known for its powder snow and many sunny days. With over 8 metres of snow per season, the area offers 25 slopes that range from well-groomed to pristine trails.
The resort is served by a 2,327-metre-long gondola lift and five semi-chaired lifts. The upper part of the mountain has open wooded areas, while the lower parts are more challenging and suitable for experienced skiers.
Although Kamui is a smaller area, it offers a friendly atmosphere and good skiing. There are no accommodations on the slopes, but the area is easily accessible by car from Asahikawa (20 minutes), Furano (45 minutes) and Sapporo (1.25 hours). For a leisurely skiing experience, visit Kamui on a weekday when it is less crowded.
