Lee Canyon

Lee Canyon is located in the Spring Mountains, about 45 minutes northwest of Las Vegas, and offers a clear contrast to the city's desert climate. Skiing takes place at high altitudes, which provides cooler temperatures and more reliable winter conditions than you might expect in Nevada.

The facility is relatively compact but has a varied terrain profile, with a clear division between easier slopes and steeper runs. For more experienced skiers, there are sections with a consistent slope and technical piste skiing, while the lower sections are well suited for calmer skiing and training. Forest skiing occurs to a limited extent, but the terrain is more open than tree-intensive.

Lee Canyon is especially appreciated by local riders and clubs, largely thanks to its proximity to Las Vegas and the efficient logistics. Night skiing occurs during parts of the season, which further reinforces the role of an everyday slope rather than a classic holiday resort.

This is not a destination for large-scale alpine tourism, but rather a functional and elevated ski slope where the focus is on accessible skiing, clear vertical drop and the opportunity to get good skiing far from the big alpine systems.
