Mountain High

Mountain High is Southern California's closest ski resort and is just over an hour from Los Angeles. The resort is divided into three separate areas – West Resort, East Resort and North Resort – each of which has a clear focus.

The West Resort is the most technical part of the mountain and attracts skiers looking for steeper piste skiing and well-built parks for freestyle. Here the focus is on pace, edge grip and jumps of varying sizes. East Resort is known for its mogul slopes, more open terrain and wooded areas, with sweeping views of the Mojave Desert – an unusual contrast for skiing.

North Resort is clearly family- and beginner-oriented, with large areas of easy-to-ski slopes and an extensive tubing area. This makes Mountain High a facility where different types of skiers can stay within the same system, but still have very different experiences.

The proximity to the metropolitan area characterizes the whole: Mountain High functions primarily as an intense day destination with a high turnover of local riders, rather than a classic holiday resort. The focus is on efficient skiing, clear division of terrain and the opportunity to get a lot of skiing time on a short trip.
