What do you think about Mayrhofen?

Was down v.9 2001 and is really satisfied. Stayed a bit half-packed but the skiing was good. Went mainly in Hintertux where there was a lot of snow (sorry, it was quite awkward), but when the weather did not wake up on our side, just go to Gerlos. Will definitely come back sometime. /// Fredde

"Tourist capital" in the Ziller Valley. The arrangement works so that with a lift pass you can drive free bus / train in addition to all the lifts throughout the valley, including Gerlos, Hintertux, Zell am Ziller and a lot of other places. Mayrhofen is the traffic hub of the valley. Have not tried any of the lifts in town, but there is a gondola from the center

Afterski: Spent about 15min among the whore full Germans & Dutchmen. Standard Austrian ompedia

+ Backy Middle Europeans do not use the powder that belongs to us properly. Far between Scandinavians

After being in Chamonix last season, I searched for this. To the subtle Chillerthal valley. A pretty bad season, but a thing is sick. When it's not snowy for three weeks, you can still have 30 minutes left and get pillows. Kaltenbach is the best pillows place, like a mini alaska with gutters and everything. Zell am Ziller's forestry does not end up with hacking it either. Penken park is good sometimes, a cool corner was there for the past weeks.
They are living in the Ziller Valley.

I think it was a bit too bad and so with this resort there were many backs, they were not so good, so if you wanted good skiing, just wake up outside the slopes ...

hmm, it's predominantly positive reviews. This was my first stay in the Alps and I'm not directly excited. There were often huge queues (week 8) and in these queues you are crowded with unpleasant ignorant people. If you are very afraid of their equipment, there is no way to queue. The quality of the slopes was varied, Ahorn, the little system, was very nice. Not much run, and an incredibly fun long hill. The penken was, however, quite upright and very congested. I'm going to board, and there were not many who went. Therefore, the slopes are pretty pucky and I think this is a bit difficult with boards but I'm only a medium-sized rider ...
Hintertux was an even worse example of this and I would almost recommend not to go there. Thought it was boring ...

I was in Mayerhofen now over Easter. I just have to say that it was the best off-piste I've ever done and especially on the glass hinter Hintertux. Absolutely unbeatable if you're a bit lazy and not able to knock up the hill but like to ride a lift. Unfortunately, one must be out quite early to find untouched scratches but when they find them ... ojojoj ...

I was in Mayrhofen v.9. The days before we came down it had snowed 1 meter but then the weather hit and we got sun all week. A friend (Andreas) who worked there at Hotel Strass had fixed cheap accommodation for us. Only 215 ATS per night including breakfast.
We never went to the same ski area more than once. Andreas brought us to the slightly smaller areas around Mayrhofen to avoid all Germans and Dutchmen. The best ride was in Landersbach with some people and very untouched off-piste. Worth mentioning is Oulu Kaltenbach.
When it comes to nightlife, there are Scotland Yard and Arena that apply and Garage if you want to party only until the morning.

Sasongar at the moment here in Mayrhofen. Absolutely wonderful place. Unfortunately, did not say much to say about the hassle yet, have been a bit clumsy with snow. The night life, on the other hand, is quite alright. Schlüssel is a bit of a favorite, Arena quite alright. Have a look at the pub of Scotland Yard, very nice waitresses. :) Look up for Ice Bar, Claustrophobic Warning !!!

Magnusson and Wingard come week 8 .... watch out! Lung a fifth ... Hintertux how fun and the skiing is quite ok in the whole valley. On the other hand, it seems that the aftershine is a little clumsy. Icebar sucks. 200 people on 2 square. You make the nightlife what you want, when we get it will be of course grease me!
