Monterosa Ski

Ski resorts in Italy
The Monterosa massif has given its name to Monterosa Ski, located in the Aosta region of northwestern Italy. The ski area is connected to the villages of Alagna, Champoluc and Gressoney (all characterised by a certain restrained northern Italian charm). The result is over 124,3 miles of alpine slopes and magnificent, sweeping slopes in every direction. The lift "Indren Funifor," which opened in 2010, connects "Passo Salati" (9744,1 feet) with the Indren glacier, which means that the off-piste skier can get their fill with several magnificent runs down to Alagna and Gressoney. Thanks to its three lifts, Alagna has a height difference equivalent to three Åres boats stacked on top of each other. This is also where the off-piste area "Freeride Paradise" is located. "Malfatta" and "Balma" are some of the biggest runs. In the Champoluc valley there are well-prepared red and blue slopes as well as awesome forest skiing, not bad if the weather changes. Gressoney also has several nice off-piste runs. In addition, there are plenty of opportunities to go ski touring throughout Monterosa Ski.

Have been here twice, short lift queues, great food, great skiing both piste and offpiste.
