Tärnaby

In Tärnaby's ski system, there are various slopes for the whole family, from green to black slopes. Most well-known is probably the descent Ingemarbacken, named after Ingemar Stenmark.

The fact is that most of Tärnaby's slopes are named after famous skiers from Tärnaby, for example Anja Pärson, Jens Byggmark and Magdalena Fjällström have slopes named after them.

Tärnaby is, with hindsight, a ski resort that has historically nurtured many talented and successful skiers. And the facility also offers good training opportunities for alpine racing.

In Tärnaby, there is easily accessible off-piste skiing. At Laxfjället you can find nice runs directly from the lift and the off-piste lines are marked on the piste map. On the west and east side of the mountain there are several runs that you can reach from the lift. It is also possible to go on the north side - Kanahobben, but then you need to go back yourself with trail skins.

Tärnaby and Hemavan were previously the same ski resort, but since 2022 the facilities are formally separated. However, the same lift pass is still valid at both facilities.
