spent the sports holiday in the bathing path, v9 .. heaven nice week there i have to say! a bit bad with snow in the beginning but snowed quite well during the week so towards the end it was fine!
the evenings, awesome fun .. because we started it really, so oslagBAR was unbeatable =) I want to promise !! will definitely go back next year again ..

Neatly spent 3 ducks in Badgastein and have to say that there is fucking nice. Sportgastein stands out for the best skiing, incredibly nice offpiste ride! However, it seems that the lift system and all buses pull down the score a part. If you like to stay in the piste but still looking for awards, Badgastein is probably not the right place to recomend, what they call black back is in my eyes a lighter red. The village is nice, very backing but you get tight as the stage after a couple of weeks there :) .. Nice hotel and goa exhibits..he had a great time both ski and off the hill but next year it will be France!

Nice skiing on sports host but otherwise some wet snow ... hot and usually good weather .. had 25 degrees plus one day when I was there ..

they are good skiing in B do not fast snow. If you're tired of skiing, you could always go down to town and go to the pub ,,, yes, you'll go there a few times

v.8 -99. Totally okay skiing in Sportgastein. The rest was lower and snow was missing. Ski buses are nothing I like to go. The village is half desolate after the death of the spa. Suitable more for families with children.

I like Badgastein, wonderfully beautiful city, where I lived for 4 months 02-03 and have experienced a lot of fun and exciting things. Too bad that there was some snow all over the winter, but there is nothing more than snow the gods can do something about ... The slopes and slopes could have been better pre-prepared many times.
A few good places to go on, but not much to choose from.

Hey! I was in Badgastein during the sports holidays (Feb / March) was actually quite bad with snow. The best part was the sport's most snow tight. It was a really good place but we probably had a bad time with the weather.

Stay down in Gasteinerdalen this winter. Looks like the whole valley offered a lot of nice skiing. If you want to go on many slopes and large lifts, keep going to Badgastein. But looking, there was very nice woodland skiing, and offpiste.
If you want to go downhill and brighter and more offpiste, go to the top of the valley to Sportgestein. When I was there, it was 30 cm sneezing, that is, keep my mouth shut!
The Norrsidan offers a nice, fine avenue. But be careful about the avalanche risk! The hard thing about it is either to get the bus or taxi back to the lift. The entire yard takes one hour type. So plan before you leave.
Otherwise, you can see the mountain wall on the left side of the gondola lift. Slope about half the slope and then pop up into the trench as you can see clearly from the elevator. It takes about 20 minutes to go. Then you have a far too beautiful lullaby.
But it's easy to find untouched shacks because the locals do not go outside the slopes.
I will defenitively return there. It's worth a visit!

I was there a turn over New Year and thought it was nice. What I hate with Austria is, however, their inclination to put the hotels in a hard back as one has to bet and lean in order to get to the safe activities, ie the ride. I went through all areas. I think sportgastein was the best, though I'm not quite sure I did not see anything :) My googles were iced again, happened to get me wrong googlar in the morning and well on the bus there was no return. It did not easily help it to be -17 and blew like the couple. But the snow was nice iaf! Heard that the shipwreckers take the train past the sportgastein to an old military base, where there should be really sneaky scratches. Unfortunately, never unfortunately did they try to punch their backs so I had to slip around in the hot springs the last 2 days of the trip ... :(

A very complete ski system. It's very easy to use the ski buses (free of charge if you have a lift pass) which quickly takes you to the different systems in the Gastainerdalen. The lifts are very short and there is plenty of space on the slopes. Best riding I think is in Sportgastein and Dorfgastain.
Something that is negative may well be that there is a certain lack of really lovely offpist scratches.
