Such a great place you can only get! All places have disadvantages, in Kittelfjäll, it is mentioned as the elevator was mentioned earlier. But Kittelfjäll is a place for those who want skiing. Quiet, natural and relaxing. If you go there around week 8, when it's snowy, there's not much that speaks for a lovely week. If you make use of the hotel's restaurant, wilderness sauna and wilderness bath, interpret a turn on the mountain and take a walk in the sunset. Then I promise you will not be disappointed. I think Kittelfjäll turns Åre with horse lengths if it's just nice weather! so my call to you is; Go there and have a wonderful week you will forget !!

Since I first visited kittelfjäll and trollbands, I have spent a lot of time in Kittelfjäll, according to me, Sweden's most beautiful mountain massif.
Kittelfjäll has a lot to offer on the offpiste road but the slopes are nothing to cheer for but who wants to scrape manchester all winter. Kittelfjället feels the best for me in Feb-March, but also in Dec-Jan you can experience wonderful skiing, although some snow shortages can overcome the tree boundary because the snow is blowing away, but after a while you learn where it's hinging. If you get tired of the gorges you can always visit the saddle or the top, guide is recommended. But if you can climb, you can also visit the borkafjället or daune both with the excellent offpiste helicopter (cheapest in Sweden), even for tired legs. Kittelfjäll rocking completely solitary fat !!!
We are in the elevator.

I agree that the price level in Kittelfjäll is very good, and it's a terrific nice place to ski and skis, but after hearing only positive reviews, I was a little disappointed when I went for myself. I've been there twice now, Easter weeks 98 and 99, and it's probably late. There has been no particularly good snow, and not so much either, either of the times. If you go earlier in the season and Storgrova looks like it does on the map, I can imagine it's a wonderful place. And the helicopter ride on Borkafjäll is quite fun of course.

My experience with kittelfjäll was the best I've been to. The last day we were there, it had snowed all night.
It was the best part I had been with, and we were at the end of the season so there were very few people there, just pumping pillows all the way.
had planned to go there in Feb next year, I'm sure it's going to be awesome then

Really nice place with very good slopes and pretty good woods. However, the elevator is not so good. There are only two lifts. A short & a long one. The long is not in good condition. It stands still quite often.

Kittelfjäll offers very good skiing. The system is certainly not very big; It consists of a children's lift and a larger tow lift which offers approx. 350 fall height meters really good ride.
The ride offered in the lift system is generally interesting. It is relatively steep and very hilly. And for those who can drag off the lift system to look up at one of the peaks surrounding Kittelfjäll, there is also very good skiing to discover. Between nice riding in sparsely birch forest, to really steep and difficult rides among the stock and rock is for the curious.
The only negative thing to say about Kittelfjäll is the problem with the lift that never really seems to be corrected. The lift is still looking tight, due to electrical faults, mechanical faults, crashes etc. But ... it's usually worth waiting for the elevator to get started!

I agree that it is a very nice place, with magnificent scenery. When I was there, Easter was pretty bad at Kittelfjäll, and the one that was there was quite hard, unfortunately. On the other hand, there was very good skiing on the adjacent mountains (especially Borkafjäll). You can take a helicopter for a relatively small slope. "By far the price level in Kittelfjäll is almost unbelievably low.
Hopefully, it will be even better when I return in February / March next year.
