Were there v.8 with the same result. It has not been snowing since Christmas. Ice and gravel on slopes and lifts ... Really box = (
But dump it may be any good!

Certainly, Serre is a bit light, but when it's good snow, it's turned out to be unbeatable. Wants to go down late in March or early April, when the snow usually comes in abundant quantities.

But you can say calmly that Serre is not the place you go for a week's ride, which you booked 4 months in advance. Serre is a "last minute" resort, at least if you do not go later in the season when you are almost guaranteed pillows.

This year we go down 13/3. Perhaps a little early, especially considering the season's snowy snowfall so far, but we'll see ... Stay in return for 6 weeks so it would be a good idea if you did not get any pillows. :-)

Were in Serre during week 1 this year and must unfortunately disappoint.
The place is for sure how good it is. There is snow to say. Now it was more like going on a turf. And that's no joke. Lots of stones and gravel all over the hill., Some snow, rocky offpiste ... but though ... gassing sun for a whole week!
Maybe Serre gets a new try, but then you should be absolutely sure that the weather goddesses are in the right mood!

Were in Serre v 1 this year (2005). Have read many reviews and such about the place and thought it seemed a cannon..but i was disappointed!
Incredibly badly poked coves most containing gravel and stones as big as soccer and ice. Perhaps one of the backs could be runable, but only until lunch..this looked the same as anything else. And now I do not mean any stone here and there but like a real grustag !! It was terrible..We had a bad luck with the snow as well. Not much to cheer for. However, I can imagine that the offpiste is cruel when it's dumped.

Been there a few days ago (Christmas weekend 04) and had a great trip with the snow. During our first night, the green surroundings were covered with nice snow. More positive than that, there is no saying.
The slopes are flat and decorated with gravel and stone. The lifts are old and very slow, which means long queues. As the dot on the ground, the city is dead.
Serre's skiing was alright but not more.

Was there at week 9. One was worried when it approached departure when it did not snow properly over two weeks. But luck you have to have the night before we arrive, the sky opens and we have a wonderful day in the pillows. The leather forest is very nice, but for those who wear it, looking for open spaces, there are also those found, mainly in Montier.

The rest of the week we had a good weather with lots of sunshine. The powder was replaced by spring ice cream and then changed to hard, forward end of the day ice-cold slopes during the week. The ride was kept proud of this very high standard. The lift system was not so well organized, so it was easy to get a lift queue. But what ski resort do you get from liftköer week 9?

Partyt sag in Briancon but if you are a big enough crowd, you will not do it. Heard that there would be better in the other villages.

I myself had a cannon week in Serre Chevalier and therefore recommend it warmly.

Was there V 6 o 7 2004. Have huge offpiste opportunities if you have snow. snow was there but it was 10 degrees + every day and not a cloud in the sky. A paradise if you like sunshine but totally worthless if you want pillow skiing, for d you will not. is so hot so the snow melts directly. The lifts were also not the best. leg breeder o wallet crusher. = (But nice to long backs .. but think about 1 extra time before you go here. I will not go back again (maybe because I like pudersnö);)

Were in the conservatory v3 2004, we were lucky and got there during a snowfall, the first day we had snowmobile everywhere. Then the sun came and we had the sun the rest of the week. A soft stand that seems a bit of a bad co-operation between the areas and that the lift stopped at least once per lift trip.
The forest was very perfect for skiing in many places The best area in the conservatory is Monetier.
