There has been a lot about Serre written. And certainly it's good when the powder is there.
And the forest is sparse o fine, but not world-best as many claim.
But like all other written places, it has become too many about the white fluff. 10 years ago it was a gold place. Today no better than any other resort. Ok Langley, who was the first Swedish charter agency on schedule, has a good job

Ok Serre is a very good when there are pillows. But like all places that appear on the charter sky and become popular, it will be crowded after a few years. Serre was good even very well a few years ago, but now it's a fool for Langley who was first on plan to search for new places.

Just got home from Serre Che, it was one of the best weeks I had. We even had a nice snowmobile last week. Can imagine that the area is really superb when the whole system is open, with pillows and off-piste skiing. Highly recommended. A place for everyone, beginner as advanced. Hotel La Vielle Ferme, like Arden Langley, is also recommended.

During my 3 weeks in Serre 2001, it was enough for 2 meters of fresh island on a 2-3 meter bass !!!
Under such conditions, the conservatory is completely unbeatable. Some parts of the tabuc forest are unhealthy steep and the sparse and cucumell's face to the piste is not forgotten at first.

Twice it is more common that it is just the opposite. (Spent 3.5 snowfree months there bye)

Sorry to give it a bad grade. But this depends largely on time. The time or season to be careful is important when deciding to go there. I was there the first week -00 and with the result, very little snow. Stones, gravel and grass were not rare in the hill if you say so. This caused some biefekter as totally destroyed skis, but not mine, I managed to get away with two giant and deep scratches. To lay and paw in the navel was unfortunately common occurrence. The sun is shining as it should BUT, snow must be snow at night too. It's just knowing the facts. Should you go to Serre you can go late in the season, definitely not earlier than the sports week's week 7.

Were there in February this year. In this sytem it is important to have a ride with the snow. This year there was plenty of snow. The downside was that it fell two weeks earlier and it was very icing off the slopes. The lift system is not the best thing to do with all j-a button lifts ... now.
Stayed in Villeneuve at Langley's hotel La vielle ferme ... Recommended !!! Great food, great staff and fun après ski!

Were there last March in March, sunny and newborn, some people (most Italian few tourists). Good off-piste rides with a lot of tree skating, mid-range loosnö. Went with Lion Ski - Very good organizers but do not choose the cheapest hotel option ...

I'm quite happy to say that my recession is not very similar to everyone else's, I had snow when I was in Serre. Amount of snow, namely over three meters. I was in the beginning of 2001 and I can say this, it is not often you get better opportunities for good skiing. Some favorites in the off-piste were, for example, the opisted snow fields at Pic De L'yret. For the more advanced riders, there is a steep hill on the back of this mountain, looking under the Yret lift. Another favorite was the top trip up to La Cucumelle. Knot about 30 minutes and you have two great yokes to choose from, partly a little easier through Vallons de la Cucumelle or the brighter variant down the back. Here you can heat a giant pot where the snow is often untouched for a long time (look for Les Grand Prés on the pistachio to find). The river ends in steep gorges and beautiful forests, unfortunately there had been avalanches here when we drove the yard so we had to go. The last favor is the wonderful ladder trees that made the conservatory so famous. Look at Tabuc in Le Monetier, L'aravet or my own favorite: below and at the L'aguilette lift.

If we mention the pistachio there is the best in Le Monetier, here are several red cruising pistes worth a visit. Another of my favorites is Casse du Beuf, first ride the lift with the same name and you have 870 drop meters of nice black rides in front of your feet ...
