We were there in Mars which means sunshine and a little more sunshine.
It was quite nice with snow even though it did not snow for a while. No problem to go outside the slopes but so many pillows were not there but it was more slush.
To go on the hill was okay, they were very well groomed even though it was a bit awkward in the afternoon, but where does it not matter if it's 10+ and sun ..?
One was sitting in the upper body for lunch so hot it was.

We stayed at the UCPA hotel which was absolutely ok, 10m to the lift and the most delicious food 3 times / day made that part was the cannon. Nightlife was not the funniest thing, but Langley has a hotel where there was a little draw from time to time. At least at Afterskin.

There were a lot of places to go off-piste and snow it for a night, you can go for a full day without getting upset. The week we were there, it was really slippery with snow that week after probably not been as calm. But it was great fun to go in a shirt plus thin jacket.
Watch out so you do not burn lip / face only =)

Was quite well in Serre so it got a 4.

Certainly it's good when the powder is there but otherwise it may be sunny sun sunny sun sun and sunshine and not snowflake in weeks. The forest is sparse o nice but it's not easy to find the nicest fields. There are plenty of nice slopes to burn in and they are usually good ground. The village is not a fun story, hotels like some resuranants and so not much more.

Were there season 03. Flacka slopes that go inclined. For flack offpiste when it was snowing a lot. Slow lifts that even stay. Overall French order, ie barely at all. Boring city There is nothing else to say

The weather is all or nothing-it either winds down snow or it's sunny! Be there when it turned out and then there was how much untouched anyway.
The best off-piste rides are found in monitors (at the far right of the lift map).
Cool the weather. Is there snow there is no ski resort I can recommend more ..

Hard to be objective about such a wonderful place! Stuck properly for that! Very easily accessible offpiste. Beautiful wide pistes for those who like it and the Alps' sunniest place! Probably very good place to season! easy with work and cheap necessities in Briancon and easy to get as cheap accommodation in Villeneuve or any of the other villages!

I was there a long time ago. There was not much snow. The year before, it had snowed a lot, but we came perfect for that year when there was not much snow. At least it was fun. Not so much off the piste (at least not when I was there because it did not snow a mile) but that was a lot of fun anyway. No hope what I can remember (maybe because I was totally not interested then) so it was basically just pure skiing. Though you could get some good laughs when the English men were going skiing for the time. They started learning to wear the skis.

Serre Chevalier is not a place but consists of three ski areas. I lived in the center of Villeneuve, at the UCPA center. Cozy city and a state of the art center close to the hill. Were there v11 and had radiant sun the first four days. The week before, it had come over a meter of snow, so we went on the leftovers, but it was okay. It was possible to find a good off-piste if you freaked a bit. Then we got 30 cm snow the last two days and then it was absolutely superb off-piste. Especially we had fun in the woods. But we were lucky, until week 9, 30% of the system was open and it was artists who were in the market. Safe, it's, but far from snow-proof.

Have been to Serre Chevalier an anatl times now and think it's just so good. Never been bad with snow, even the times I've been there late in the season. Cozy and good. Do not damage it, it is a stone's throw from La Grave. Anyone going there and season now in 2002, please hear from you! need somewhere to live ...

Went to Serre v.9 -99 in the midst of the worst snow hysterine ever. There was only one thing to complain about. We had no snow!
It was a sisådär +10 in the afternoons and no fan snowed that night. While my classmates had a weeks week in Chamonix pumping pillows all day, we had to settle in snowy forests.
No, there was no raising week but the place obviously has potential when there is snow.
