Antillanca

Ski resorts in Chile
Antillanca is located in southern Chile, on the slopes of the active Casablanca volcano in Puyehue National Park. The resort is smaller than many other Chilean ski areas, but offers a unique combination of volcanic landscapes, forest skiing and easily accessible off-piste. The ski system ranges from 1,040 to 1,1771.7 feet and has about 14 slopes and 5 lifts.
For beginners, there are shorter, wide slopes near the base area, where also ski school and children's areas are located. Intermediate skiers can enjoy longer blue and red slopes that wind through the araucaria forest, while advanced skiers are attracted by the steeper sections and the many opportunities for freeriding on the volcano's open slopes. Ski touring and randonnée opportunities are a natural part of Antillanca, and many combine the lift system with shorter trips to reach pristine snow.

The base area houses a hotel, basic cottages, restaurant and bar. The atmosphere is familiar and more peaceful than in larger towns, but it also makes Antillanca popular among those looking for nature experiences rather than big city pulses. The view of lakes, volcanic peaks and the dense rainforest enhances the feeling of skiing in one of Chile's most spectacular environments.
