We booked a 6-8 bed cabin. price 22,000:-
Me, my children and grandchildren 7 people + dog.
we also booked a New Year's buffet with seating for 19.00 at the inn, which we had paid for with the booking.
We never got the time in writing, so we call the reception on New Year's Eve and get confirmation that it is at: 19.00
When we get there, it's closed, there's no one there, it's going to be a New Year's party from 10 p.m. onwards.
It was very lucky that we got a seat at another restaurant. Otherwise, our New Year would have been completely ruined.
The cabin was unclean, there were no cushions for all the deep plates, there were 5 so we had to eat in batches.
The dishwasher came loose and fell into the cabinet, all the kitchen utensils were old and worn.
Long queues for lifts did not have a chance to get a table at any of the restaurants on the hill full
There have been a lot of cottage villages in the area in recent years, but no new restaurants have been added.
Disaster was in Idre the first time in the early 90s, then it has continued until now, now it won't happen again.. We got the money back for the buffet that didn't turn up and didn't have to clean the cabin, but there was no plaster on the wound because it was uncleaned when we got it. We pointed out that the New Year's food was more expensive than we thought, but they didn't take that into account for us who loved Idre and had been there so many times, boring.....

Good that you can ride in all directions, where the sun is or where there is no wind at the moment.

Very nice ski resort. Very family friendly and calm atmosphere. Extensive and well-planned lift system. The gondola is a nice new addition. It was never crowded on the ski slopes or long lift queues, even though we were there during the Easter break.

It's like being in Skistar-Sälen, but 10 miles higher up in Sweden. Clean, well equipped, lots of people, lots of pistes in a small area. Would say the surface was better than Skistar's scraped ice slopes.

We had a nice sports holiday week in Idre fjäll. We were a group of 10 people with children/young people who lived in the same cabin. The view from the cabin over the valley and away towards Himmelfjäll was fantastic. But as we have experienced several times before at various ski resorts in Sweden, the cleaning of the cabin was unfortunately not the best.

As for the slalom skiing itself, there are slopes for all tastes and experience levels, which suited us perfectly. A bit sad that the weather was a bit so-so, but you can't blame the ski resort for that. We had four nice skiing days out of six, although the first day of the four was a bit windy and cold. And unfortunately, there was snow after the piste several of the days, which meant that the slopes were quickly driven up.

We think six days of skiing in Idre fjäll is a bit much, but since the same lift pass is also valid in Idre Himmelfjäll and Fjätervålen, where we spend a day each, it turned out perfectly fine.

Worth mentioning is that there were rarely any longer lift queues despite sports holidays and thus a lot of people on the slopes. But despite a lot of people, it never felt crowded on the hill.

Very satisfied with slopes and ski trails.
On the other hand, extremely poor benches along ski trails and around the slopes... I mean outside toilets, e.g.
a very big minus is that the toilets were poorly cleaned, smelled bad and many of them were also turned off.
The thermal cabins were poorly cleaned and few tables, we had to sit on the floor even though there was room for tables.

An amazing place! There is something for everyone. I also want to recommend restaurant störröset, as good as the food is!
Love Idre Fjäll! We will definitely be back next year.

Very poorly planned lift system which means that when it's a bit windy you don't get home but have to climb with skis and children. Closing the windlass feels very strange, I've never experienced it before!

Agree with previous. The lift system is extremely strangely planned. In good weather, it's great with many chairlifts. Four plus a gondola - record Sweden? But when it's windy and the chairlift bars close, there are only a few button lifts left. The result is long queues, little opportunity to ride and difficulty getting home. Even with everything open, the ski system felt hard to grip. Maybe because it's in four directions and I have bad local sense... Looked at Himmelfjäll's piste map and now understand why the chairlift doesn't go all the way up / maybe it's more weather-proof?
Probably won't go back here.

Poor decision making and extremely sensitive system to wind. Can't get home to all places because only the button lifts are open. Even closes the windlass for some strange reason
