Every winter since I was young, I been spending some weeks here. It´s a complet skiingresort for the whole famely. Offcourse it´s not the sice of mountain that you find in the Alps, but I realy love it. WARNING! Don´t come here to party, couse you will be disepointed. But If you searching for a peasful place for you and you famely, or wher it can be just you and the mountain, so this is the place.

The downhill skiing i realy good. It´s not the biggest skiing resort in Sweden, but the mountain is relatively great. It´s big, but ther is no people here.

The offpist is ok to be a swedish resort, but as almays in Sweden it´s not that mutch snow. To find the world clas offpist you should go to Hemavan, Riksgränsen or Björkliden.

The nature in Lofsdalen is fantastic. Like one beautiful day in spring when I took a brake just some meters from the pist, and found myself standing in a herd of reindeers.

Not to forgot, the crosscountrey skiing i also realy good. There are a lot of nice ski tracks in the area. And you can easly make you way out in the wild.

Have a great time... couse I will

HOUSING
Many possibilities regarding accommodation in Lofsdalen. You can book a cottage with a nice view but also cottages next to the ski slope.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKI TRACK
The cross-country ski trail is located near the slope. And has many options on routes, which also extend to higher altitudes where the view is magical.

WAFFLE HUT
Be up in the waffle hut, on game night. When you go up with a bandwagon and get to taste meat from the area. Among other things, bear meat. So exciting and interesting with flavors you may not be used to. A nice owner who told stories while eating.

SKI SCHOOL FOR ADULTS
I went to ski school beginners for adults. My teacher was so concerned about us students. She had such knowledge and learning was easy, but she encouraged you to see your own progress and gave you the courage to try a little higher on the slopes. She had options for you to succeed, whether it was holding her hands and following down the hill, her going first and showing you how to go, or her reminding you that you could slow down and take a few breaths and then continue. To take it at your own pace. I felt safe in my teacher's presence. She saw your levels and didn't push too hard.

THE SERVICE.
The service in the rental was so nice. I had trouble getting the right boots and visited the rental shop a number of times. They always met me with a warmth and a smile.

When I started practicing on my own on the slopes, one of the air guards asked if I was okay. They are so kind and there and then when I practiced by myself in a certain fear of doing the slope by myself, I did not feel alone. Even my ski school teacher saw me that day and wondered how I was doing. I really felt that they cared, even though the lesson was over or the lift attendant (also a ski school teacher) had me as a student.

So lovely slopes and in a fantastic nature with views of Lofssjön and mountains. Fresh facility and luxurious light lunch at the Sky bar. Here I go more than happy again and then it should be added cottage near Funäsdalen.

Lovely slopes and cozy feeling but the ski rental was under ALL criticism.
We waited for 1 1/2 hours to rent skis and then we still had teenagers. Felt so sorry for those who had small children. Those who had pre-booked had to wait just as long. Will not go here any more time because of it unfortunately.

Magnificent mountain and cozy pistes from Kalfjäll down into the forest.
Good drop height for being in Sweden, but unfortunately no piste that goes in one sweep from the top to the valley without going through a transport link. There should be opportunities to challenge nearby Björnrikes' long pistes.
The peak has remarkably narrow slopes (and not infrequently exposed to the weather). You can immediately guess that they prioritize free skiing over piste skiing.
They will be long nice rides anyway. Child- and beginner-friendly with several gentle pistes in the forest.

Another plus is that the ski resort is a real community with a good ICA shop, where you can find reindeer and game.

Fantastic ski resort that can be even better. Good altitude as long as the top lift goes. Nice off-piste opportunities that are relatively easily accessible.

When you approach Lofsdalen, you are struck by the massive Hovarken; looks almost like Gaustatoppen.

Real, Härjedal mountain feeling with skiing at high altitude.

I'm surprised more people don't find this:
490m drop height - 49 miles from Sthlm (19 miles from Östersund).
Modern lifts, few people, cheap lift tickets (compare with Vemdalen or Funäsfjällen!)

The skiing is quite flat on the lower slopes. Steeper up towards the top.
If someone could manage to spend a few hours wandering out among the mountain birches, it would be really good forest skiing (you might just have to bring a saw with you on your next visit ;)
