Were there last winter, which was snowy before the snowstorms came. Week 5 there was not much snow there, first, some backs were brown, in some places grass. But the backs as there was snow in was absolutely ok! We were in Courchevel one day and turned hoping to drive the black burner pipe (see Skiing Skiing) "Jockey", but it was closed due to a little snow.

After three days, there was finally a little snow, but a little bit much can be added ... it came half a meter a day for three days !!! Lastly, when we packed down the skis and headed home, the slopes looked heavenly, sneezing with plenty of snow. Sure, life is unfair sometimes ...

Be sure to go to Tango, but after all, it's a mediocre Swedish place with too little drag. There is a nicer party shack next to the serpentine-winding "main" street. That there is now a business complex, big as a fan, with indoor swimming pools, games halls, shops, restaurants and more. is good when there is a snowstorm.

Otherwise, Val Thoréns is so big, you're guaranteed not to go on all the slopes in a week. Better luck with the snow next time, that will make the score better ...

In Val Thorens I was a week in 1999. Have been to about 8 different resorts in the Alps such as St. Anton and Chamonix etc. which are considered to be the really good resorts. But I can say that Val Thorens beats them here with horse lengths. The city is at 2300m above sea level, and the best of all it is above the tree line, there is thus not a single tree on the entire "archipelago" of the mountain. Add that it is the world's largest continuous lift system, the highest ridge is 3200m, 600km pist, the longest piste is 15km and 200 lifts.
If you want to go off piste there is no better option in Europe, just take a step (literally) from the piste then there are pillows.
Thus, if you like freeride, there is no other option.

Were there the whole season this winter, without working. Absolutely wonderful ! The skiing is perfect. Any day of the year you can find good slopes - pristine slopes. Are you also a telemarketer, it's a dream !!
