What do you think about Val Thorens?

A must for all skinny crazy people!
Here you can find everything from the best off piste to the lovely pisted slopes.
Nightlife is on top but unfortunately you can not measure up with Chamonix. A must is to visit the famous afterski bar at the hotel tango .... Select Val Thorens the next time you are thinking of going to the Alps.

V.3 -03. Absolutely the best ride I've been to! Tougher ride and not smocked with people in the piste. Blueberries seem to choose other places. Sick big system (the world's largest?) With well-tipped slopes and the latest in lifts. The village is adapted and built for skiing. The high altitude makes freaking more than usual, but it also makes it very snow proof.
The nightlife is good. There is plenty of off-piste skiing, but you're best doing a guide which is not that expensive.

Be there with the class v.9 -02. It was one of the best places I went skiing. The only thing that was negative was that it was big avalanche and it was snowing every day more or less.

Be there with 20 polar v.9. very good ride when the sun was coming. In the mornings there was a spotlight when the sun was not there, damn hard for all the dumps. Should you live somewhere, it should be Tango, but it was not a quiet moment. Buy Flygel on Snowboarden if you're there.

There is a lot of offpiste and always a lot, which is a plus these days. A visit to Tango is a must

Visited this high-lying French alp resort week 04, 2002. Can say that was the worst trip I made. Perhaps it's not the mountain and the plant itself was the reason why it went .... at first, SAS sacked our bags on Arlanda (went 2 days without clothes, for this you get a refund if you have not paid with Visa) ... then there was almost no snow + that there were a lot of dumb, idiotic, unhappy Frenchmen there .... The village was built sometime in the 70's and 80's and is the most scary village in the whole of the Alps. .all looks like a seaside resort from Mallorca that moves into the mountains ... for commercial purposes for my taste ...

Go somewhere else if you want to know the alp feeling ...

I agree with the song of praise ... incredibly easy-accessible off piste not overlooked 30 seconds after the pistons opened like in some places (read: chamonix): everything from just next to the pist: one to go 20 meters and get a brand new quilt to track in ...

Where in Val Thorens V5 01, everyone is so positive, were some things I'm looking forward to, all the talk about the cime you caron I once went, was a devious queue all the time to that cabin, every just a yard since it cursed the ski school that goes ahead of the queue, I went in low season and thought it was long lift queues, how the fan is then in March and April, is it queue from cime du caron to tango? I think that the ride in meribell was better kept me there all week even though I lived in Val Thorens, but banned, I will probably choose Thorens next year, too, there are positive things too

Me and three friends were in Val Thoréns v 7 and the weather was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately, maybe it was a bit too hot because the snow was missing in some places. According to a mountain guide I talked to, they had very little snow for the season. And it was as hot as they usually have in May! But I do not think you can complain about it.

Very good backs and plenty of choice. A downside may be the sign of how difficult the slopes are, which can be frustrating for a little insecure rider. For example. can a red back suddenly turn out to be very black! And that the pistons are quite bad.

Nightlife could have been better. Aftershine was pretty good, but when you went out later in the evening it was quite sad. Underground and El Gringo's Café were two places that were chanted.
