Ski resorts in Sweden
What do you think about Romme Alpin?

I am pleasantly surprised. Fall height is not the best, but Romme is close to hand for a 1-day or 2-day weekend trip.

SUN long lift queues at Solklinten. Shorter at the southern lifts, and completely non-existent lift queues on the north lifts. All day. Skitbra, but avoid sunbathing as much as possible, there are always lots of people and want to queue.

Very nice slopes, I'm pleasantly surprised actually. They have left very small forests and single pines in the middle of the hill, and the slopes are a bit "sweeping and woody", not so super-wide and straight. It gives a little intimate and cozy forest backs.

Primarily for a little blueberry sower. Perfect now when the kids and the fruit started skiing, really nice slopes with trees and woods in the middle of the slopes. Check out their lift chart and check out the video for eg. Tallbacken (26), so you see what I mean: http://www.rommealpin.se/pistkarta__1053

Freeride also needs to replace the lifting card they have for Romme, they have built out! Nordliften and all the nordbacks are non-existent at Freeride! That was where there was NO queue all day long. The lift is right short, the fall height is not so impressive, but because the north seat is fast and there are no queues, you can quickly get up and go.

... SUCCESS long queue for lunch at the top cabin. Next time I will try the Inn, may not be worse than a 30-40 minute queue for food at the top cabin. I hope.

3.5 skis I give in grades. Considering how close it is. If you want more fall height, you will get more north. But since it is not possible to choose 3.5 in grades, then I give 3 then. Do not want to give a full 4th, it's not worth it.

The proximity and ease of access are the biggest advantage of this backing. It is 3 hours shorter than Sälen and 4 hours shorter than Trysil from virtually all major cities. That's why they have a lot of state travel on bus tours and rentals, which means that there will be very long queues on school holidays etc. As a backing, it's ok if you want to learn to go or just want to train some technique. There are no black slopes but the steepest ones are red in other slopes. Here it is mostly blue that applies. There is also no offpiste to talk about, but the forest is dense like a jungle, and a large boulders from explosions are everywhere. The view is the tuna plain with farms that sometimes smell very bad (dense), so if you want mountain feelings, go elsewhere. The park is quite poorly maintained and nothing for the advanced. There are plenty of spaces in thermal homes and the restaurants offer fine food. The top restaurant is more expensive but quite cozy to sit in and when the spring sun comes, the location is perfect for sitting on the terrace instead of skiing.

Addressed to:
- Beginners who want to learn how to ski.
- Metropolitan people who want to go on a cheap bus ride.
- Parents who want to sit in the sun and watch their children when they leave.

NOT GO TO:
- Advanced rider.
- Offpist diggare.
- Park jibbers.

+ Totally okay park this year.
+ easy to get there by bus.

- Jobs many tourists.
- difficult to get to the park. (long wait for the chair lift).
- The park is very crowded.

It's okay to go there with some polar / class but watch out for inexperienced riders as there are very many tourists there. (warning for crazy leafers)

Romme is a really good place to make bus trips from uppsala / sthlm and the like.
If, like me, I want to convert from alpine to telemark, Romme is a crazy place to learn. The slopes are just too long and steep. You learn quickly by going a lot on the "snow mountain"

Unfortunately, the oldest and steepest slopes are always busy and awkward. Like a cockpit everywhere.

+ Cheap by bus / day
+ good backs
+ good lifter except in the steepest hill
+ nice presonal

-a lot of people
"There are no challenges, if you are a rider, it will be a bit cool in combination with the crowds.

Bus return and return costs 410 SEK incl. Lift pass. Bus journey takes about 2.25 - 2.5 hours.

23mil from Stockholm, 2:35h with the ski bus that cost 415: - INKL ski passes. Try to beat it at the same distance from Stockholm! Skiing varies but mostly it is a little easier ride. However, there are a few black slopes with Göte's steep as "the worst". Unfortunately, the elevator is a little bit that takes one up from Göte's steep so you can instead take the button and over on the front and take the strap or 6 seat up to the top again. Gets actually faster, has tested. Across the south side there are new snow berries that are perfect for practicing carving technology. There is also Rum's latest lift, another 6 chairlifts.
As a family, Romme must be almost perfect to go to. Many backs with fair fall height and no notable lift queues. Lots of different places to eat from kiosk with sausage to candy to the hamburger, the resturant and at the top we find the top cabin with a la'carte resturang. The cottage also has hamburgers outside when the weather permits and also a bar where you can buy simple dishes such as soup and pancake.
The staff are super and nice no matter what. Queues are available but these are usually in the morning when everyone gets up the hill for the first time. These queues often show up in the resturants around lunchtime as well. So be sure to go skiing when everyone else eats and eats yourself at 14:00, when it's considerably calmer in the kitchen.
Should you rent skis so make sure you have pre-booked these, it's faster than taking a kettle. However, the gender usually disappears quite quickly outside the ski rental.
The junior park with all hope to rails is probably not the biggest area I have seen but definitely worth a visit. This is the new area for Romme this year, and I can guarantee that it will remain and be expanded. It has been very popular with the kids ... and me;)
And as I mentioned at the beginning, Romme has invested in buses for the plant. I highly recommend these. Easy to book and smooth as just attic. A whole ski day for 415: - incl. Lift pass and you are back in Stockholm 19:00 the same day. The backs are usually or always in very good condition. They seem to be very good at making snow at the beginning of the season, so the snow lasts a long time and lasts for a long time. I recommend Romme to anyone regardless of ride and knowledge. Well met // Jeppe

Be here on March 14th. It was hot that dan. The temperature was between -1 and +3. Something I have to say at once about Rommefolk is that they can take care of their slopes. Not an ice spot just nice soft ride all day. No hill offered any major challenge, but it became a lake of ice cream in various, narrow, natural-framed butterpies. There are two 6-seat express lifts they are beautiful and take up quickly. There is a third 2-chair lift which is very slow. The queens in the morning at the big elevator at the main centers were queued. One tip is therefore to get to the new section "Snow Mountain" until it's got a bit slight. They have done what they can with scarce natural resources. It is well maintained and clean and service oriented. I'll be back but one day at a time is probably right here.

+ well-kept slopes
+ Service-oriented
+ varying slopes
+ fast 6-chair lifts

- Challenges
- thickened with people sometimes
-long lift from a quiet hill

Perfect for me as a beginner. Do not really know how they classify their slopes, though .. Took me down for a bit of black hill and that's the fourth time I'm on a couple of skis .. The red slopes were lighter than the blue in Sälen, etc.
A lot to choose from, although you're not good at going for a ride :)

Quick lifts (besides the two-way lifts - stay away!) And a little queues (though there were on a daily basis).
