It's good to think about the range and the distance from Stockholm. BUT unfortunately the staff are prejudiced and you don't feel very welcome, almost questioned if you can ski just because of the color of your skin.

Romme Alpin is clearly the best if you want to go on a weekend, or on a day trip. Beautiful slopes and a well-developed lift system.

Skiing on a par with Sälen and beats all other facilities outside the mountains. (Haven't experienced Branäs yet though). Big investment in chairlifts is absolutely fantastic, the preparation the best I have experienced in Sweden. However, weekdays are clearly preferable precisely because Romme is so conveniently located. The only sad thing is that the prices have gone down and the beer and food selection is a bit poor.

Nice slopes and good lift capacity. But be warned about the buffet at Skilodgen's restaurant. It's probably good if everything flows, but if something happens, there doesn't seem to be any substance behind the nice surface. Got food poisoning and I wasn't the only one. Very poor handling and sad treatment by Romme Alpin. No customer orientation whatsoever.

Have been to most ski resorts in Sweden, and I think Romme Alpin is extremely impressive considering the circumstances. Sure, no feeling of mountains but a lot of other positive things,
6 chairlifts, good logistics, fresh and well organized. However, the rental skis are really sunky, probably due to high occupancy. Romme is fully comparable and better than most of the ski resorts in Sälen, except Stöten.

Good skiing for not being further north. News every year that improve the place. Always a lot of people and a lot of beginners. Always good pistachios.

Good system based on location, near Stockholm. Good cannons so much snow and good lifts and descents.

It's time for the Schtokkolmars to stop reviewing Romme as "Good to warm up before the ski holiday", or "Good for a few days of skiing".

Romme is versatile, there are a bunch of black slopes that you, as an expert, will get to stretch your legs properly ;)

Romme Alpin is a full-fledged ski facility with a greater drop than and better piste skiing than many of the seal resorts, generally better prepared slopes than Skitstar and almost exclusively chairlifts. Here you have a facility that was built by ski enthusiasts, and you can tell when you step out onto the slope.
In addition, the system has a much more modern design than, for example, the seal scales.

Romme has many pistes that branch out along the mountain sides, a bit more like how they are built in the US, which means you can ride here for a long time and still discover new routes.

If you are thinking about Romme, Åre or the Alps, then of course you choose Åre or the Alps, but compared to Idre, Sälen or places with roughly the same altitude, there is nothing that compares.

Romme focuses on Family, and if you are a park ninja, you will be disappointed. There are small parks that are enough for ordinary people and the children, but only one green and one blue park.

If you are looking for off-piste, there are forests and a lot of natural snow, there are no calf mountains. But this also allows them to run the lifts in much higher winds due to the sheltering trees. A couple of weeks ago, all chairlifts were run when the wind forecast was 10-17m/s.

I just want to say thank you to the family whose life's work is to develop a top class facility that is accessible to so many.

They are stingy as hell with their lift tickets, we happened to make a mistake so that we paid twice for the same day on the same lift ticket. They refuse to make compensation, or refund or give credit.

6 express lifts wow. Super thought-out lift system. Good and fun slopes for being so close to Stockholm, the food could be better
