Well maintained and good slopes within a reasonable distance.

High quality on the slopes considering the proximity to us who live in Mälardalen

Rome is fantastic for being where it is. The terrain is very well utilized to create a system with large riding surfaces and a good flow, while there is much to discover. The logistics are very good, all the way from the parking lot to checkout and rental. Most things that can be controlled by the staff and the company are very well developed and well thought out.

What is sometimes less good is the riding behavior of a ski-less clientele in some parts. Everyone may be unaccustomed at first, but you see a lot of very careless driving people who grossly overestimate their capacity and who risk the safety of others. The fact that there are often more riders per runner here than in many other places affects the problem. I haven't seen any "gun police" trying to stave off the worst behaviors, but it's hard to keep track. So be careful not to be run down from behind!

At least this year, Romme has trouble keeping the slopes ride, which in principle becomes impossible at constant plus degrees and no rainfall. Last Sunday it was on the verge of driving, and if anything happens with the weather in the near future, it will probably be difficult to keep the ground season out.

But Romme a nice, cold winter day is a wonderful destination for one to two days of really good skiing! With a good strategy for avoiding the worst queues and the congestion in lifts and slopes, you can get a lot out of the ride.

Cannon arranged with easy and good parking instructions by parking guards despite plenty of people. Took 2min to get Skipass. Took 2min to ski. We are really impressed with the family adjustment.
Here it will be more times, definitely!

Great everyday skiing. Come early, around 8.30, have a snack and eat at odd times, so you avoid unnecessary queuing!

Sicken bluff! It was expensive too. Here I paid for queues and sorbet snow when I had been able to sit in good rest and look at murder and no visors. And then we haven't even counted the visitors! Instead of rushing forward on the slopes, you can stand in the lift and see the toddlers who open themselves up. And not to mention the snowboarders! Such liars should be banned.
The best thing about the visit should still be the bus trip, as I was lucky enough to go with a really handsome driver.

Romme Alpin is a nice ski resort with slopes for the small and large. The proximity to Stockholm, only 2.5 hours drive, is both a plus and a minus. There can be quite a lot of people on the weekends with queues to lift, at the same time that it can be a good day or weekend trip.
You can stay overnight in Skilodge with spacious rooms, there is a good restaurant and playroom for children. You can also choose to stay overnight in Borlänge, which is only 20 minutes away.

Everything good, always a lot of people. Almost always gets run up really fast, but big plus because you year after year are investing in developing, new lifts, new slopes and new houses. Would be nice with cheaper accommodation near the hill.
