Wonderful child friendly with service-friendly young staff?

This review applies to the camping in Branäs. Our family has been to Branäs many times but this was the first time with the camper in winter time. The location at the campsite feels completely okey about: 300 meters to the gondola depending on the location you get. The service houses have nice kitchen if you do not want to cook the food in the caravan / caravan, but the shower parts were not particularly nice, fresh. The service when we were there consisted of young staff who did not put the customer and service in focus. However, I would like to go there again because of a child-friendly ski resort.
Final words quite ok camping but nothing out of the ordinary.

The first impression on arrival is that the ski area is not large. It is also realized that the backs that are available are neither wide nor steep. There is also no further variation on the slopes. In addition to this, the lift ticket prices are far too high. They are not much cheaper compared to, for example, Åre, where the range of skiing and other activities is on a significantly better level.

However, the slopes found in Branäs are well maintained and the ride is pleasant. The backs are very child friendly and this is an excellent area for beginners and families.

Branäs Year Is a very nice ski resort but can be a lot better

Good lift system 2 chairlifts and 1 gondola are very good
Stora baken is one of Sweden's best backs in my opinion
Many holiday villages and accommodation

Could be much better and longer back in view of the fall height
Branäsberget has to be developed with new and difficult slopes, one can ride a seat lift

Nice ski resort for a short week or weekend.
However, the variation on the slopes is not enough for an advanced skier to be able to rejoice particularly much, but it may not be possible to count on the distance south.
Must be a kind of dream destination for beginners though. Green long jumps everywhere and in all directions.

negative:
Narrow slopes - not adapted for carving technology
Many people who stay a little were left without regard
Minilivsen is a joke, zero offer and 15 kr for one liter of milk
The pizzeria does not answer the phone and takes 1h to bake a pizza

A perfect place to go for a little ride, for example. Sunday to Thursday or Thursday to Sunday and yes you would have time, you do not die for a week either. No giant system no big for that matter either, but 24 slopes work if you do not stay too long. Have been there many times, I also learned to go skiing there, so Branäs has a special place in my heart.

Should be in Branäs Thursday to Sunday and go skiing on friday + saturday.



When we got up on Thursday afternoon at 16 o'clock then started to buy the ski pass and wanted to rent a ski.


Since we were staying with a family already in Branäs and they were running out of their skis, we asked if it would be good for us to leave our skis in the cabin as you would go there and get skis, but it did not work !



Then came the next stop: We were there 1 hour too early to rent skis and only pay for Friday and Saturday (as were the days we had a lift pass). We argued with those in the rental that we could not use the skis anyway, as we did not have a lift pass earlier, but it was a lot worse. In the end you gave up, but it was not a very nice welcome !! A little smoother, you should be able to have the rules!

Keep in mind that we had about the same discussion last year, but not as clearly ...

May think carefully before we go to Branäs again ...

The backs are after all good (iof few) and it's a good area for the kids, but ...

Were there for 3 ski days with the class!

Nice little system considering the location and the mountain!

However, you get tired of it very quickly. Be basically a nice back, but it was quite tall and nice. (Ridged 110 Km / h if anyone wanted to compete!)

Perfect for beginners etc. However, there is no height if you are good, there was not much to play with, neither a park nor any further offpiste.

However, had to train my telemarkskills!

After all, was a VERY nice trip!

think Branäs is very good when it comes to the equation short trip + nice ride
The fall height causes Storbacken to be a really bad pist when it is not filled with Danes, but just to let them know they live;)
Teach me to go to Branäs, must also add that the new cabins on top, Orren, Aspen, Älgen and Illern are probably the best in Sweden.
Several flat-screen TVs in each cottage, top class kitchen, modern or cozy furnishings just to choose for yourself.
Now there is also a reception / afterski / restaruant in the cottage area at the top.
The disadvantages are the Danes, a little too few slopes and some years of snowfall.

Are you from southern Sweden, branäs is probably the best for class travel, in competition with the cliff.

Went there yesterday, where JUST disappointed with their park that was said to be good, they had not shaped the jump or something, you could not slip on the rails.
The only thing good about the place was the forest roads / offpiste, you could go wherever you could to go into the forest.
If you are going to Branäs, do not go there for the park, but for the offpiste.
