As residents of the municipality, we have superb prices on season tickets (if you are in Branäs alpine) and that means that we ski here almost every day.
It's so wonderful to just go through the forest where the spruces are heavy and the blue mountains are spreading, so great, you come to Branäs where you have just invested about 50 million in the last 10 years.
Fantastic.
Of course, all children love Branäs and they win lots of prizes. The back is long, opportunities several. Super!
Now they have also started building cycle paths. So nice.

That was ok.

4th time in the resort, just as impressed every time and then I am an experienced skier with experience of many different ski resorts both in Sweden and abroad. If you whine about how slopes and other things that Branäs offers, it is probably not good anywhere. The snowmobile trails in the area are also fantastic.

Really good ride for the younger family.

The second time in Branäs, it will unfortunately be the last. Admittedly sports holidays, but crazy lift queues. The slopes consist of a bottom of ice / packed spray snow and on top of the sugary spray snow or potato flour-like one that can barely get through. After a couple of hours, all the slopes are broken with dikes and ice. Some slopes were not piste during the night either.
The area has been built up extremely, but not the capacity of the facility.
However, it must be said that everything around is really excellent. Too bad that skiing is not.

Took the family there for a short week in v4 and was very pleasantly surprised (which was partly due to very low expectations and partly to the good conditions). There are both children's slopes, "cruise" slopes for lazy rides and some longer and steeper slopes for those who do not know how to have fun without riding as fast as possible (BMW owners, I guess).

Many inexperienced skiers who fumble around, which I prefer to those who do not know how to have fun without riding as fast as possible without full control of the inserts (BMW owner).

+ Great ski school for the kids
+ Absolutely ok drop height to be Sweden

- Far too large a proportion of button lifts. Two chairlifts, an egg lift and an anchor lift!
- Poor supply of business

Have been to Branäs several times but this year it was under all criticism. Huge lift queues and poorly groomed slopes. Was close to buying a cottage here a few years ago but is incredibly happy that nothing happened. A huge amount of housing has been built in recent years, but the lift system does not have the capacity to receive all guests. This will hit back against Branäs, can not see that guests want to continue to pay expensive money to stand in the lift queue. Those who yawn after a lot often lose the whole piece ...

Branäs is a gem for the whole family. The slopes are really good with variety and length which makes it not feel like you are in a lift queue all day. The service all around with pleasant staff, restaurants everywhere and an app for home delivery makes everything feel very modern and fresh. I warmly recommend Branäs to everyone who is "satisfied" with staying in Sweden for skiing.
