Very nice cross-country trails with crazy for long lift queues. A problem that has been around for several years and should not be blamed on Corona. Why are only button lifts built at a pace of pleasure? In the past, there were at least anchor lifts in Branäs, but they have been removed to make it child-friendly. When the gondola or seat lifts break, the staff should hand out new lift passes because in Branäs you stand in line for most of the day and if a lift is broken, it is better to be at home. No, put the money on Stöten, Trysil or Sälen where it is possible to ski.

Is on season for the 3rd year..have thought they were good but very bad slopes now !!!

The worst ski resort I have been to unfortunately. We went up in the hope of buying a mountain cabin & having skiing pretty close to home (Uppsala). The cottage was nice but the ride really bad unfortunately.

Narrow slopes, long queues and full of slopes with many skiers plowing. Beginners everywhere in blue and red slopes that break them, so they were icy before lunch. And then skiers stand in the middle of the hill and talk. This is a regular Saturday after Christmas break. Can only imagine what it was like during the Christmas holidays ... Asked a lift guard about just that, and he told me that it was chaos, that he thinks they have built homes at too fast a pace, without expanding the lift system.

Kungsberget with its short slopes is 100 times better. And it is not even possible to compare with Sälen. It's like comparing a bicycle to a car. Good to get around for small children. Never again Branäs unfortunately and then we still have children, 7 & 9 years ...

Everything that does not directly have to do with skiing is perfectly okay - accommodation, service and staff. The maintenance of the slopes and the overloaded lift system significantly reduces the rating. Too few slopes are open or piste to their full width. The result is congestion and worn slopes early in the day.

As Branäs attracts more and more visitors, the lack of lift capacity becomes increasingly apparent. The button lift on the right side of Björnbacken needs to be replaced with an anchor lift. Mattisdalen needs a connection to the top.

I also wonder if it is possible to open another piste on the steep side of the mountain. Storbacken is good but without alternatives.

We came up on the 3rd of January-21 for a couple of nice days on the slopes. When we arrived it was nice weather, but Branäs manages to create huge fog clouds by constantly driving all the snow cannons. The slopes are terribly badly piste. Some slopes have large lumps of ice. Many slopes are closed for no other reason than to let the snow cannons create piles of snow. All this contributes to huge lift queues. 55 minutes to the cabin lift and 20-30 minutes in other lifts. If you want to ride for 5 minutes and then stand in a lift queue for 20 minutes, then Branäs is good. If you want to ski, go somewhere else

Have visited many ski resorts around Sweden and the world,
Branäs comes last in the ranking overall.
1 hour queue to all lifts approximately, not new piste in the morning, completely icy, you can barely see where you are going due to seeing snow cannons running everywhere

Me and my parents and my brother lived in Mattestorp Longhouse, cozy and modern accommodation conveniently with ski storage and spacious apartment, a little difficult transport distance across the parking lot to the nearest lift. We are experienced skiers and usually go in Åre or the Alps, we ended up in Branäs due to last minute booking and a great desire for skiing. We will never go here again. The snow cannons spray 24/7, which means fog all over the mountain and extremely poor visibility, even though it gets very cold. The entire ski system is incoherent and there is no logical location for the lifts. Do not understand how they have thought. Especially now in these virus times when companies only ride lifts and gondolas with their own, the queues become long and it goes slowly. The thing that irritates me the most is that on the chairlifts they only take people on every other "because it is too cold and the engine does not have the strength". That can certainly be the case, but who the hell doesn't put a lift that can't handle the cold in a ski system?!?!? The staff is friendly and greets everyone. There are not many restaurants on the mountain but the ones that are there are good and have good food. Branäs is certainly suitable for families with small children as the children's slopes seem quite good.
The queue for the Gondola is endless, but largely due to the corona and the fact that it ended with a party in each gondola. Nothing you can do about it.
As I said, branäs is not for skiers who usually go to larger resorts as this is experienced little, but for beginners and families it certainly goes well.

But it's about skiing, which gets a grade of 1.

Slightly ungifted system that is not connected. Lifts and slopes closed, which in our case (plus at least everyone who lives in Mattistorp (many)) also makes ski in / ski out impossible. Should be easy to arrange with transverse transport routes. The slopes seem to have poor maintenance. At the same time, they are narrow, which means that at least twice as many people descend, which further worsens the surface. The strange thing is that several slopes seem wider - but made narrower with a piste machine and dikes.

Sunny days should be great. But squirting snow cannons instead create snowy and sloppy days.

Disaster. Lifts are standing still in one and the queues are worse than anything else we have been through ..
Branäs gets a big minus and we are looking for something else for the next trip.

Unfortunately, far too bad thanks to extremely long lift queues. The first time in Branäs so completely unaware of how it has been before but some here seem to think that they have increased the beds somewhat disproportionately in relation to the lift system, which is very likely in our experience. Feels very sad to have to stand in line for 20-30 minutes to ride maybe 5 minutes to the next lift and again stand for 20 minutes or longer queue.
