Ok slopes and descents. The lift system could use an upgrade... only 2 of 24 lifts are chairlifts. The transportation lift from the Ranch area suddenly stops at a very busy road, where you have to take your skis off, cross the road and then put your skis back on. Unsafe... especially for the kids! Stöten could have built a tunnel or a bridge there, but chose to dig a big hole to build a road to the new residential area - a 'cheap' solution.

The cashless system is okay, but in some places they refuse to accept credit cards and require you to use the app. The distances between some accommodation and lifts/restaurants are long if you don't have your own car (for example if you arrive by plane). A ski bus would have been good.

Check-in via the app works, but not the door opening. No ordered sheet package on arrival, so I had to ask for help at the reception (which deserves praise). It will probably not be Stöten next time.

Stayed one night then we went home as the whole cottage was full of mouse shit in both beds and in cabinets and on the floors. Got no response from their service they thought we should clean up all the mouse shit ourselves. Never again Stöten

We have been to Stöten many times over the years and find it to be a very well run resort with less of a sense of "big business" that it can get via SkiStar in Sälen. The only thing that worries me in the comment field this comment ends up in is people who get angry about weather and snow conditions. Not trusting Stöten to do their best to keep as much of the resort running as possible is just silly.

The bump, if you hate skiing and love standing in the lift queue. Has two chairlifts that close if it's a little windy, also anchor lifts close if it's windy. They also do not open lifts if it stops blowing. So during the sports holiday week for Stockholm there were a handful of button lifts open and 45min lift queue to ride about 3 min. Never go here again Romme has 6 6-chair lifts and parallel anchor lifts. Stöten probably has the lowest number of lifts of all facilities in Sweden in terms of number of visitors and the longest time in the lift queue and lift per ride. Do not go here.

Great varied skiing. Go here for a couple of weeks every year and there is something for everyone. This year, unfortunately, the snow situation was the worst in 12 years over Christmas / New Year and it has left its mark later in the season as well. Otherwise, Stöten often offers really fun powder skiing in the forests. A little tough that the Danes have sports holidays at the same time as us and at the same time, the phenomenal red / black slopes Älvan and Näcken are almost untouched and very nice all day long.

The staff says different things and the girl in the chairlift at the World Cup was sickly unpleasant and not at all attentive. Then we had to stand and wait for a long time at the reception and then the treatment was not good at all. Good slopes but unpleasant staff

Catastrophically poorly groomed slopes. Blank ice on over 10 lots in a descent of a few hundred meters is not approved at 12 in the day after 3 hours of opening. Either the base layer is too thick and the top layer does not hold so it becomes ice or too little snow has been put on the base layer, which is often hard-packed artificial snow. The result is to skate on ice in both cases.

Overall satisfied with the skiing and the slopes are great but unfortunately too many people who go downhill skiing on the slopes. My suggestion is that signs are put up where downhill skiing is prohibited, and that it is ensured that it is followed. My husband was almost hit a number of times and he is a very experienced skier.

I have generally been satisfied with Stöten but our last visit was a disappointment. At the season opening, basically only two slopes were open and some short drag lift slope. The chairlift was open on the weekend but on Monday Tuesday when there were less people and less wind, the lift was closed. In order to ride the blue slope, you had to take the anchor as far as possible and then walk with the children the last 100 meters to the top.
Full price on lift tickets I can not understand.

Not impressed. The accommodation which was supposed to be ski in/ski out was far from the ski area and cannot be defined in any way accordingly. Chaos in the ski area because so many lifts were closed due to various factors. Too many people in a small area. Feels like Stöten needs a major refresh. Cross-country trails not covered even though there was snow.

The accommodation was relatively new but the owners had locked several wardrobes so that you did not have room to unpack your belongings but had to have a suitcase in the hall which was really cramped. There was no lock to the ski shed. Apparently you had to bring it yourself. Who has it? There was a charging post but the owners did not allow it to be used. Of course we had paid for this. Stingy and inhospitable feeling in general. Nor could you get the ski equipment delivered to the accommodation as you get in many other places

The ski school was good and the children were promised a diploma after completing the ski school. However, these should be picked up in guest service which we forgot. Of course, the children did not forget this so we called afterwards and checked if they could send. Of course we pay postage for it but they wanted to charge an admin fee to solve this. Stingy!

All this left us with a feeling of inhospitality and stinginess. Will not go there again. recommend Branäs which has a different service feel.

However, I can recommend the restaurant Torstens which was absolutely ok class.
