Nice well-groomed slopes, humane prices for food and lift tickets. Free parking and cross-country trails. Super satisfied!

Good slopes, a little difficult to get around. Bad information. But great for families with small children.

What was once so good has now become so bad unfortunately... The shock has very good slopes once you get to the top, which you don't do very often when the chairlifts close due to wind. Would need some more trailer lifts that pick one up when the chairlifts are stationary. With all the new housing that is being built in a rush, there have also been very long queues for the lifts because the lift system is not suitable for all the new housing that has been built.

The slopes themselves were ok. There is nothing that is red from the top, it was boring. The pistes that were good were really good.
Unfortunately, there was an awful lot that was not good:
One of the chair lifts had come loose and it was stationary for about 3 hours. Push button lifts and bar lifts spontaneously stop for seemingly no reason several times a day and no one takes care of it. You can stand in a lift and wait for 15 minutes before it starts. Seems like the lifts need some love.

The range of food and places to eat is extremely limited. There is a small waffle house that is always packed. In the evenings there is no normal place to eat but it is on the border of findining where the food costs about SEK 300 per portion without drinks.

Then there was a lot of hassle for our friends who had booked hotel rooms and the app didn't find their room and it said it was going to pick up something in a locker with a number that doesn't exist. And the front desk staff were ignorant and couldn't even tell me where their room was.

We lived in an apartment and unfortunately we had boring neighbors with children they didn't have supervision over who ran and knocked on door handles etc. This is not the facility's fault but contributes to a poorer experience.

Staff and service were otherwise accommodating and good.
But the overall experience was bad and we will not visit the place again.

It's worth going a little further north for a better experience.

Perfect place to go with children and the family. So nice in everything from ski school to the lift. Really good service and good skiing at different levels. Best mountain in Sälen. Will go again.

Stöten is a ski resort that caters to the whole family when it comes to skiing. From very easy children's slopes to Sweden's best slope, the river. Separate slope and lift for the ski school. Been there and ridden for at least 12 years and haven't gotten tired yet.
