What do you think about Åre?

The positive thing about the year is that it's the best ski resort in the north after January when it starts to be sloppy.
Positive to me is that it takes 1 hour for me to come for years (I live in Östersund)
it's a good park.
The back of the ears is great riding on.
The negative is that it's sickly expensive it will be 14,000 for my family with an annual card.
at the beginning of the year it is cold and icy.

Åre is the best ski resort in the north.

+ Broad, long slopes.
+ Big variation on the slopes.
+ Nice in the village
+ Good does not raise as much queue as long as you are not there on the sports license.
+ Cold, good with snow.
+ Good parks, especially Bräcke.
+ Many good restaurants.
+ Awesome good echoes.

 Those who have not been to Åre, your ride you will not be disappointed :)

Åre really sucks!

- Poorly prepared slopes
- ice and stone
- Expensive
- Industrialism
- impersonal

Åre has really developed negatively in recent years. In fact, you can also read this in the tourism surveys that * are not made by Skistar *, that Åre loses land.

Wonder why.......

ÅRE

Bott in Åre throughout my life, live here year round. I think Åre has inprincp everything a skis ski area should have according to me. Under the law, there are so many people, maybe it's fun that so many people appreciate Åre, but it can also be a minus with too many people. But if you think Åre too crowded with people, you'll only go to Duved / Tegefjäll, which is calmer.
Then in the summer, all cyclists come to the village and drive downhill instead, so the mountain has a lot to offer, I can say.
Awesome nightlife is this too.

Åre is really a ski resort to visit. I have heard that many people think that if there is a ski resort in Sweden that is similar to the Alps, that's Åre and I can only agree.

Of course Åre has its disadvantages with too many people, a little too expensive, uphill slopes in the afternoons, but I like Åre. Åre has changed a lot through the times of something I actually think is worse. Before that, it was the little charming ski village but now it starts to look more like a small town. It's a shame. But Åre is still a great ski resort with status.

If you have not been here, I recommend you to come here!

+ Good nightlife
+ High chairlifts (with Swedish dimensions measured)
-More people
The seat lifts quickly convey people who can not travel and plow all the way
Exhaustive hysteria, more focus on the right jacket and makeup than the ride itself
-The backups are busy in no time

To Åre you do not go for the slope but for the nightlife. Are you interested in driving without a lot of trams around, so go elsewhere!

Have been home 1 week ago my BEST ski week ever.

Here's my summary:

ÅRE = Best in the Nordic region!

+ Good long runs!
+ Many lifts!
+ Good after-ski (according to brossan xD) E for young :(
+ Super cute, handsome lift hosts (Resurrected xD)
+ The gun!
+ Many heaters, restaurants!
+ Good parks!
+ The weather (Sun, not a cloud of three days)
+ Duved / Tegefjäll
+ Ski buses between Duved / Tegefjäll and Åre
+ Top offpist = Cross-ward
+ Good direct Night train from Gbg, out in the hill right when I got up.

It was the last day there was a minus when the high zone was closed. Then there was a little jerk up and icey. But what does it take to go to Duved / Tegefjäll instead? This was really my best skiing week ever. Åre, a place I want to go back to as soon as possible.

As you probably noticed, I do not think there was anything bad. Maybe I'm back already next year, who knows?

Thanks Åre, Skis, SJ and everyone else who made it a great trip with the family.

Ps. Years must be experienced!

Sits in GBG and longing up!
Have been to Åre every year now for 6-7 years and longing forever. Rolling in with the car after watching the shuttle through the 5-6-mile windshield is wonderful, or maybe getting out of the train with the pants in the hand in the morning and raising his eyes up to the humm and glancing at Östra there behind ... Yes, I'll be lyrically just i think about it. What is Åre doing so well?
First of all, you have a great mountain! Ultimately, that's what it's all about in a ski resort. The mountain has Sweden's highest liftserved fall height, the longest slopes, wonderfully fast, and efficient, lifts and it has snowed a bit, so there are plenty of off-piste to use.
Åre's lift system also has a lot of different sides. There is peace and child friendliness in Björnen, there are "jibber" dense Bräcke, carving paradise in Duved and Tegefjäll and there are the slopes around the Olympia plateau, the crown of Åre's ski system! When you cross the plateau after breaking the Störtloppet in a swept an early morning with manchester and wondering if you are going to go down the Lundsrappet or Gästrappet, then life is "gonna live" !!

I have been there both in the spring season, peak season and last week of spring and may say that Åre is the best during the off season. Of course, pumping pillows during World Championships two days after New Year's is really fun and actually I have understood. But my best time in Åre is enough yet April! Lovely spring skiing in the high zone of Tusenmetern and Tväråvalvet is unbeatable. And on the way down from the mountain in the afternoon, stay at always nice Bobo at Hyddan and take a beer in the sun on the outdoor seating.

So like me, choose the off season in Åre. Drop the queues to the elevator, battle on board the Broken and stay at a fraction of the price in high season and pack the car or jump on the train and go to the mountain!

Åre is really lovely. Beautifully beautiful on the Skutan and in some forests around. Even the back road to Huså is an experience in itself. Going board, but is most fond of sliding in the slopes and the most offpiste that is located around Ullådalen / Rødkullen / Bräcke, a cozy slope with easy slope, which provides easy skiing. Am I more for a steep ride, it is the Slalomback that applies, although it is often not pissed (is it never done because of the slope?). Always live at Engman Cottages and will do so this year as well. Much more huts are not available, but it was better before, when all the cottages were in Engman's property, which meant a sauna and a ping-pong in the neighbor's cabin. Now you can go down to the guesthouse in the center to get your sauna, which is always mandatory on a ski trip.

Outside the alpine river Åre is a nice cozy town, but it was always better before. Now, capitalists are thriving everywhere and it's good that you do not go there when the schools in Sthlm are allowed. Perhaps it might be nice for the Holiday Club to come to the village, but it's destroying all the charm of the little quiet mountain village. I have been to Åre since I was 13-14 years old (born 84) and I have clearly noticed the difference.

And as always Åre has not only advantages but also some bad points. The lift ticket prices are a bit expensive, I am glad that the dad always points up as always, otherwise I had already panked before the trip. Nor do I like Åre to be bilitive as it has become, a tourist resort with expensive restaurants, expensive hotels and thus a housing invasion as well. But it usually usually be quiet when schools do not have their cursed law. I'm glad i go there a few weeks before Easter now, it brings a little more calm and less people into the slopes. One negative is that the restaurants are not alike or for 10 years back in time. More expensive and more exclusive. However, we have usually chosen to kiss in the back or at home during the lunchtime, fully acceptable. Sometimes, however, it is more enjoyable with a lunch at Hummelgården or Café Olympia.

advantages:

* Quiet the weeks schools are not allowed
* Excellent off-piste options
* Easy to shop (ICA Åre)
* Conveniently with the cable car straight to the top
* Nice line to Huså
* Stendalen's Arctic and Siberian Culture
* Nice accommodation
* High zone
* Nice lift operators

Cons:

* Many people on the law or the weeks around the law
* Always raised in the low zone in the afternoon, regardless of population
* Animal food
* Expensive food stores
* Usually not so much snow compared to other resorts on the same latitude
* Often, many people at the cabin

It would be a clear full score, if it were not for the most crowded crowds in the slopes, and that Åre could keep his shine more.

According to me, Sweden's absolute best and most complete ski resort, which in any case may be similar to the Alps. Many backs, long slopes, many chairlifts and awesome nightlife. On the minus side, however, there are often two-dimensional people, weather-sensitive high zone that is often closed and still a bit for heavy sledding lifts. My tips for those who like good nightshows in the slopes are the Tusen meter and the Tværåvalvet in the back of the high zone.

Go with your classmates and have fun! =)
