Sweden's absolute best ski resort if you do not just want to focus on skiing.
After spending ex number of winters in various powder caves around the world, I must say that Åre's range with mixed riding that suits most people and a range of entertainment that is world class never disappoints.
But be sure to go when the boat is open because otherwise you will miss half of the mountain.

+ varied riding
+ good food and drink selection

- a little stingy selection of parking spaces
- bad when the boat is not open
- long lift queues

The best ski resort in Sweden both winter & summer season

Åre is as good as it gets, when there are no people there. Had skis not only cared about building more homes, Åre would have received 5 stars.

Overrated but if you manage with the piece to get a day with good weather and it is open to the top, it is really nice there. A lot of people make you feel the most crowded and you need to have a little local knowledge to find the best places when it is high season.

Now you sit and think back on last year's trip to Åre. Covid was handled in a good way where there are a lot of people moving but less well with less frequent lifts.

What annoys me most in Åre are the new parking rules. Everything in Åre costs money. On top of this Why can't you pay and stand overnight at the lifts. We lived near WM8 and had a parking space for the apartment on 8 beds. Hard to get eight people in my car. Skistar could not see if there were vacancies for any other apartment even if you had to register your car at the apartment. Badly. It seemed that there were vacant parking spaces.

Best in Sweden when the weather is good. However, there is a greater chance of winning on triss than getting good weather this year. Last trip was top closed 4/4 days

The Alps are just as expensive and just as far away

A ski resort on dekis. Unfortunately, the venue is managed as a 100-person cinema that sells 1,500 tickets per performance. Lifts are being dismantled at the same time as more housing is being built in complete hysteria. For the poor people who have to go in high season weeks, it is absolutely awful. Åre could be a fantastic Nordic ski resort, as it has been, but the development is now controlled by circus directors without a passion for skiing. If you are going to ski during the high season, there are significantly better alternatives such as Ramundberget, Kittelfjäll, Riksgränsen
I have lived in Åre for 25 years with 50-60 ski days per season and I can only state that in the last 10 years, the development for skiers has only gone "downhill". Skis seem to be completely visionless, which is sad with the great potential that still exists in the area.

Åre is undoubtedly the best in Sweden. A real mountain with many different slopes and good steep.
Åre is very reminiscent of the Alps; the difference is the view (not many mountains like Åreskutan in the area).

Things Åre can get better at are more slopes and lifts to the village so not everyone has to be crowded to the WC-8 or the roller coaster. And more windproof lifts and cable cars. But otherwise wonderful!

5 trips in 8 years, by far the best in Sweden. If you do not want to be crowded, take the bus over to Tegefjäll ..
Is here now during the low season and has been in line for about 5 minutes in 4 days in Tegefjäll while you have to wait 15 minutes for the gondola to the top in the high zone ..

It is a great ski resort the slopes are perfect. Forget all the other places such as the clapper, idre, the seal. GO TO ÅRE. Åre has the most lifts in all of Sweden, so why not book today. Yes, oars are a bit of a drive but it's worth it one hundred percent. You can take a night train (hop on the train, wake up to nice weather and perfect slopes) So my opinion is that Åre is the best ski resort in Sweden.
