Largest in Sweden and a damn cozy city. Bet on staying in the middle of the batter, everything else sucks. What I do not like with Åre is the weather. I have been there all the time of the season and experienced more rain and storm than elsewhere - feels almost like home in Gothenburg. Åre seems to have its own local weather type so that when it rains in Åre it can be sunny and heavenly in Härjedalen 10 miles south. Very good ride but m y c k e t narrow transportation stretches full of sledding tourists as well. Interesting nightlife, however, was even more exciting 20 years ago (nostalgia ...).

Here you will find slopes & experiences for all tastes, from family life to worst party explorer. You will probably consider Åre and its lift system to Sweden's largest and best ski metropolis, with good after-ski. Can almost compare with one of the less beautiful resorts located down the Alps in southern Europe. Skiing is good, but a slight drawback is the long lifts, recommending to go in the low season, you get more skiing time for your money!
Is there no disadvantage, considering what I wrote about "Sweden's largest and best ski metropolis", prices are also one of Sweden's most expensive! Expensive, with dock !? Sweden's pride!

Was in Åre New Year 01-02. Stayed in Duved, I will not say that I have not been in Sweden for very many years. Åre can be summarized in two words: overrated and expensive. The skiing is quite alright, but not at that price. The slopes are often full and the queues are also. Accommodation, ski passes and trips to Åre are sometimes more expensive than a trip with flights to the Alps !! Åre tries to be as hip as Verbier, does not feel like it works in Sweden ...

Yes, what should you say, lung the best place i have been skiing in Sweden. Most of them are found on light and difficult, sloping and steep slopes, since they have a beautiful park with always a big plus. Have a good nightlife but it's a pity that there are 20 in so many places: /

Sweden's absolute best ski resort.

There are lots of but backs and maybe lifting too much, I always have my tendency to just be at the park and go to the offpiste, maybe miss a lot. If you want to find your favorite back, you must have plenty of time to investigate all of them.

The slopes that you might hear most about are the ones that are the most people on, and I hate when you have to queue.

It was a day when I decided that now I should check some backs.

I decided to go a little more to the left if you look at the map :)
there I might find the coolest hill ever. It was a right steep hill that was largely unhappy with some nature hope you could put grabs on the FAN VA BEAUTY !!!! You just have to go away from the over the hill slopes.

Regarding the offpiste behind the bear at the crossroads, I think you have to go far and find fault :) but it's definitely worth it

So far the best! there can not be much better places to go skiing in Sweden, would be the Riksgränsen then ... How many backs, good hope, heavenly offpiste (backside).

To be in Sweden is absolutely amazing.

However, too many people in the slopes, they pissed generally badly, I think everything ....
