Sweden's absolute best ski resort.
Have lived in Sälen for 14 years, but Åre is much better. The Sälen has Sweden's best park (Kläppen, even a sledding offpist) And some beautiful slopes at Tandådalen and Hundfjället.

Åre has everything Sälen's all ski resorts have fixed in one place. In Sälen there are long routes between the resorts, but in Åre you can easily reach the lifts and the ski buses.

Åre has skiing for everyone! There are good children's areas, good park, grymm offpist!

As a ski resort, Åre feels like a rather hot alternative in the Swedish mountains! Åre, which in itself is not as big as it might be, gives a relatively wide variety of rides, both summer and winter. Which is always fun!
I myself prefer Åre summer time. Then under the Åre mountain mayhem. Then Åre Skutan is full of cyclists and can offer both a speedy downhill ride or a crazy day in the park! This is also available in wintertime for those who prefer it.
Oh, we like.

If you have not been there you should probably visit it in the near future.

Åre is lovely, especially at the end of the season when all the lifts and slopes are open, no crowds and beautiful weather.

+ good communications both to the yard and between the villages
+ not just skiing for anyone who wants to do anything else
+ beautiful people
+ offpiste in Tegeskogen and lonely yard in Duved
+ good and fast lifts

animal food if you want to check out the back resturants, but taking your own there are nice thermal homes
When the high zone is closed it becomes crowded in the slopes

Åre is really wonderful!

Backs are okay, except when all the backs look like puck piles, which most often do during the week weeks =)

But otherwise it's a lovely place. Dahlbom and Wersen's are the nicest places to go.
Definitely worth a visit =)

Åre is awesome. Asbra jump, rails to other jibs. The slopes are sick and the off-road is cruel after a fat snowfall.
The only thing you have to keep in mind is not to go up on v.9 or any of the other regular law weeks. Then it's 179 years of queue over everything, and everything gets upset if you do not get up on time.
So my summary is:
Go for years, but for the fasis, not on regular weekends !!!!

Åre is by far the best in Sweden!

+ High fall height
+ Many chairlifts and gondolas
+ Many red backs
+ The Ravine in Duved is cruel
+ Many forest roads
+ Many after ski places
+ Cabin track (though it is rarely open unfortunately)

- Far from Stockholm
- Little too few black backs
- No lift connection between Tegefjäll / Duved to Åre
- The ship is rarely open

Åre is beautiful!
I'm there several times a year and I'm not tired of it!
If you're lucky with the weather it's super!
In Åre there are also various adventures you can try,
such as Zipline, snowmobile safaris, ice-water climbing, etc.

I tested last on Zipline and that was how fun, anyway,
I really recommend it. High heights, fast forward.

Zipline is a kind of cableway you go, where you get stuck in a harness like
is stuck in a wire that goes over the ravine in Åre. At the same time you get a little
ecotour, where the guides tell about Åre's history and current animals.
Educational and a fun experience.

And when you're still in Åre, do not hesitate to turn to years of CHOKLADFABRIK! :)

I have been to Åre 1-2 weeks each year from 4 years of age and I'm never tired. Åre is the perfect place if you want to experience cozy mountain feel.

Then, of course, it is boring that there will be really long lift queues sometimes, but if you go there on popular weeks such as sports promise, you might have to prepare for it before.
Expensive is it. But not everything! The most expensive things are usually the brand clothes / things, but also at the restaurants. But if you are Scandinavia's best ski resort, it will be automatically that prices go up to earn more. But I agree with everyone that it can still be cheaper.

The backs and people (the staff) are super handsome and I'll be there again in March again. Love that place. Wonderful atmosphere.

Tip: try the "Small Krog"'s pizzas. wonderfully!
